I am absolutely in love with love! Like, seriously! I get so happy and teary-eyed when I get to witness true love. So what does that have to do with Fashion Flashback to the 1920s?

My friend, Rolanda, is getting married in a couple of months and her theme is 1920s Mafioso based. I'm so super duper excited to attend this sockdollager*! I am on auto-RSVP to arrive at the speakeasy (location undisclosed) in my cutest 1920s divaliciousity. (Yes, divaliciousity is a word...I just typed it twice.)

Of course, you always have to be fly when you attend a social function, especially a wedding. And especially when you're single...just saying, but that's another blog post. I need to find the perfect outfit from head to toe because, although it may be hard to believe, I'm still single. Yes, single, but I ain't no cancelled stamp*.

I actually had the opportunity to attend a 1920s throwback gathering last year and was able to pull this outfit together. Most of the stuff, including the mermaid-style dress and bob wig, I already had.

For the upcoming event, I think I want to go with a shorter dress and a different hairstyle. I definitely can't wear what I wore the last time! Something about the diva dress code and statutes.

Here are the dress styles I'm considering. They're cute and available in plus sizes...and they don't cost too much mazuma*.

Which one do you like best?
The hair style to top either dress off to complete the look is the classy and retro finger wave style.

And to kick it up just one more notch, I totally must have this head chain, especially for the low price.

Let me know what you think. Will I be a choice piece of calico* with these picks?

Thanks for stopping by!

- sockdollager: an event or action of great importance
- cancelled stamp: shy and lonely woman; wallflower
- mazuma: cash
- choice piece of calico: desirable woman
In just over a week, we will be celebrating Christmas. Is it just me or was it not just Independence Day? I'm really excited because this will be the first year that my son can actually tear into his gifts...and probably tear open the other kids' gifts too. I know Christmas is not all about gifts but that's a fun part of the celebration and festivities.

Okay, so on to the point of the post. I just wanted to share with you all some divalicious stocking stuffers and quick gifts. I am doing this to help you find the perfect little last minute gifts as well as let you all know what I would like to get in my pink stocking. Two birds, one stone...and four cute little gifts. And with the low prices, you could get them all and still have enough to go out for a modest sit-down dinner.

You can click on any of these to order from my Amazon store.

After much fuss and not so much planning, it was about 24 hours before the Halloween party that I was set to attend. I hadn't ordered a costume like I was supposed to and it was way too late now.

So I took to our favorite last-minute, do-it-yourself app...Pinterest to the rescue!!! But I still wasn't gonna be able to pull anything off that complemented my curves correctly.

My friends stepped in just before I was going to back out and helped me pull together what I like to call Le Diva Ballerina.

I'm glad that I was able to wear something cute, cost-effective and comfortable. And I had an awesome time at the party.

Guess I need to start planning now for Halloween 2016...ooh, that rhymes! Maybe Wonder Woman can make an appearance next year.

I'm a big fan of accessories. Choosing the right blend of items to accent your outfit can make it nice or make it "wow"!

The design team at IGIGI never ceases to amaze me with their full-figured fashion that flatters. This time, the jewelry collection caught my eye.

My fashion sense is pretty defined and I either like an item or I just don't. It is very rare for me to just like an entire collection of items. But IGIGI is to be congratulated, because I could see myself rocking each and every single piece from their current selection of jewelry. I'm talking necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings...and I even like the Diedre brooch.

Check out this slideshow of some of their pieces that I liked the most.

Go to the IGIGI website for more pieces and to purchase.

My birthday is coming a few weeks, so feel free to give me any of their collection as gifts. LOL! I'm just kidding...unless you're gonna do it!

Until next time, remember that you won't achieve until you first visualize it.
